Finally some LayOuts

After all the Christmas goodies I've been making (thanks for all the lovely comments about my button tree), it was nice to finally do some LO's again.

Two for my DT work on LSBS (unfortunately the gallery is still playing up there) so I'll upload here first.

I've also completed a paper bag album page for a swap but won't bother uploading it. TFL.

Button Tree

Christmas morning I was able to finally take some good pics of my purple button tree - to match our silver and purple theme this year. I'd also painted the paper mache raindeer silver and added the purple ribbon.

Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas day.

I was exhausted last night after a great day. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and like their gifts so that's a plus.

We've been for a drive in the country today - out to Boonah again. Don't think the girls are as taken with the area as we are. Now there's a surprise. Peter's Mum enjoyed the drive.

I'd made some cute little magnetic clipboards for my Mum and MIL - the plan is to give/send them new pics of the girls every so often throughout the year to change the photo that's on it at the moment. Here's the one I made for my Mum (the pic is a 4 x 6 size).

I also made another baking tray magnetic notice board (it hangs by ribbon not shown in the photo) for my girlfriend Sandy - who loves frangipani's - here's the finished product - which she loved!

I haven't done a LO for weeks (or so it seems) so tonight I'm doing some scrapping! A Christmas LO is in order me thinks!

Wishing you all the very best

Best wishes to one and all at this special time of year. I hope your Christmas is peaceful, relaxing and finds you surrounded by those you love.

I'm about to head over to my parent's place to start the traditions of our Christmas....Prawn and mango salad Christmas Eve at their place. Tomorrow, we will all spend the day here - my parents, my brother, Peter's Mum, the girls, Peter & I - eating breakfast, opening presents, eating some more, relaxing, playing with our new "toys", eating lunch, snoozing, eating, playing some more, and then eating dinner!!! Lots of eating for someone trying to watch their weight! Will test me out for sure!

I've moved to Beta

Well I finally got sick of skirting round the questions from BLogger about moving to the new Beta system and have moved my blog across. Hopefully it'll be better and you shouldn't see any difference on your end.

My work party was yesterday - at a beautiful winery near Boonah. A way better party than last year. Perfect location and lovely company. I relaxed my "diet" a little and probably paid for it about about 1am this morning when I was violently ill :( Too much rich fatty food (well more rich and fatter than I've had in 2 months). The food and wine was excellent I just wasn't used to it. Now, don't let anyone tell you that the copious amounts of chardy had anything to do with it...really it didn't.

We also celebrated a friend's upcoming 50th - without him knowing that we knew...and I took some great pics which I can't wait to scrap.

The girls are off for a day with Sara P and her three gorgeous children tomorrow. They are really looking forward to it.

I've been scrappin' bits 'n' pieces - cards, OTP etc - nothing to share ATM. Hanging out to do a LO real soon!

It'll be Christmas eve next Sunday so might try and blog before then - busy week this week -

Monday - personal trainer session!

Tuesday - Secret Santa, work lunch and then Peter's work Christmas Party @ the casino in the evening (girls with Mum and Dad overnight)

Wednesday - another PT session!

Thursday - WW weigh in day (hope to make that 10kg mark), dinner with Kay & family @ SouthBank

Friday - last day @ work for FIVE weeks - woo hoo!!! MIL arrives for five days.

Saturday - dinner at the pub with Sandy, Karen and families

Somewhere in amongst all that I'll have to do another grocery shop and finish off the present shopping!! Ekkk...don't you love Christmas time! I hope survive it all!!!

I'm still not feeling real flash tonight - so it's an early night for me (yes Ann - look it's only 9.15pm and I'm talking about going to bed!!).

Very pleased with myself...

Just had to say it....I can't stop smiling....I went to my WW meeting a day early (busy tomorrow at lunchtime) and was tickled pink to have lost 2.1 kg this week....Woo Hoo for me!

So my total is now 9.8kg lost in 7 weeks and I should be able to make my 10kg by Christmas without too much trouble!

It was soooo nice as I was met Zane for lunch today after the meeting. It was perfect to share my exciting news with her first up. Thanks Ms Zane. You're a big part of my motivation and inspiration :)

Yay for me!

A Day Late..

I've missed my usual Sunday night blog update...got side tracked last night.

Don't have anything new scrap wise to share - I've put up a step-by-step this weekend on LSBS on how to make a little gift card envelope - there's lots of other step-by-step's there too for Christmas "stuff".

After writing up half of my Christmas cards I've now found out that I've lost all addresses in my mobile phone (when I changed over to a new phone) - have the phone numbers but no addresses!!! Ekk! Will have to wait until I receive cards before sending out OR do some investigating on the net for addresses.

The girls have finished school (their teachers both loved their presents we gave them) and are on holidays for 7 weeks. They both have male teachers next year - Tara's not too sure about her new teacher - but I'm sure she'll love him by the end of the first week back. They're keeping busy at Nana & Pop's, Vacation care and the lovely Sara P's (for one day) until I start my holidays Friday week.

Went to Cath Black's Cocktail Party on Saturday night - Cath & I went to uni many (many) years ago. Our other uni friend, Joanne (now a teacher in Mt Isa), was also there with her new "man" before the jet off to Seoul, Prague & Denmark for holidays. We're excited about Jo and Bob - who are planning a wedding for next year! Here's some pics from later in the night - including a couple of Cath & I - self portrait style! I was trying to get a decent pic of just CAth (for RSVP) but should have done it earlier in the night I think. It was a great night - even though I only had 2 (& a bit) mango daquaries (sp?) and drove home (better for my weight loss that way)!!

Withdrawal Symptoms!

LSBS forum is still down tonight :( so I've finally had time to resize some photo's for inclusion on here.

First off - some of Danah & her friend Jessica - performing "Little Red Rhyming Hood" at the end of year drama presentation late November. Danah played the part of Gran (hence the very severe make-up!).

Here's the small magnetic noticeboard I made for Tara's teacher, Miss Reding (year 2). It's made from a small baking tin. A big hit today when she gave it to her apparently.

I've also "altered" some wine bottles for friends - no...not by drinking the wine first!!!

Finally - a pic of the girls trimming the Christmas tree on Sunday night.

Snowman Costume

No time to blog tonight...too busy making a snowman costume for Tara for tomorrow!! Yes, I know, I've had all weekend but here it is 10pm on a Sunday night and I'm still cutting black cardboard into a top hat and making fake black buttons for a white shirt!

Also making a card and altered canvas as farewell gifts for my boss who's transferred to Cairns. We're having afternoon tea and drinkies on Tuesday for his farewell. Just putting the final touches on the canvas and I'll be finished.

Whipped up a couple of cards this weekend for a SM forum swap but other than that - no scrappin' :(

My exercise routine has been non-existent this weekend! No walks unless you count walking around the shopping centre today with Mum & the girls!!! Lucky I've got an appointment with the personal trainer at the work gym on Thursday!!

Disaster of the major variety to strike this weekend.....the PlayStation has died!!! Ekkk! And guess what I bought on Thursday night....yes....singstar for the girls (& me!!) Mum tells me she's also bought Peter a game for it for Christmas. So, looks like I'll have to buy a new PS2 before Christmas!!! Don't suppose anyone knows anyone looking to sell their PS2???

Don't forget to drop into the LSBS Cyber Crop next weekend or to check out the daily sale with new reduced items added each day :)

Here's a LO from last week that Blogger wouldn't let me upload! TFL :)

Sale Time

LSBS is having a Christmas Sale - check it out here - new reduced items are added each day up until Christmas.

We also have a Cyber Crop starting next Friday (8/12/06) - hope to see you there!

Uploaded my weight loss LO - a group of us at LSBS are trying to get healthy - I'm adding a prima flower for each kg I lose. I've now got 7 flowers on my LO! Aiming for 10 by Christmas.

My scrapping friend, Michelle (chellejamo) has celebrated her birthday this week AND a spot on a local design team - way to go Chelle - love your work.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday little brother - he's the big 40 today - not that he checks out my blog - do you Andrew???

I'm going for dot point again this week - one day I'll have time - to sit down and pour out my heart and soul to you all - but for now - it's the quick & dirty version of my week with a few pics/LO's thrown in for good measure!!! For something different - I'll go backwards this week - starting with today!

* Two tupperware parties!!! Yes - TWO in one day - ekk!!!
* I'm now hosting a tupperware party (2.30pm 14 January) and you're ALL invited!!! Leave a comment if you want my addy!

* Tara had her Santa photo taken today and left a letter in his mailbox. She'd written out her "wish list" with 10 goodies listed! Managed to see it...and maybe able to help Santa with a couple on the list!
* Worked in the canteen at school - fund raising - Danah helped and commented on the way home "If that's what working is like - I don't like it!!!!"

* Big walk!
* Grocery shopping
* Swimming (Tara - not me)
* Friday night Crop - Serendipity SCrapbooks Stafford - enjoyable night although didn't get much done. Only knew Michelle (lovely as always) & her sister Kelly - but still enjoyed the night. Finished one 8.5 x 11 LO (Pool Time) and have since finished two others I started on the night. Also completed a money box for Tara (for Christmas so can't show you yet).

* Started Christmas shopping - mad rush around Thursday night without the girls.
* Thursday WW weigh went well again - total loss so far 5.8 kg so well on target to my 10kg by Christmas.
* Parent teacher interview with Danah's teacher - happy all round with her efforts this year :)
* Stopped in at a new scrap shop on the north side on my way back to work from Caboolture - love going to new shops.
* Dad's birthday - celebration Wednesday night.
* Scrap with Sandy Tuesday night.
* Mould taken for my new ortho footwear inserts - pick up this Tuesday - hopefully my foot pain will END now!

Blogger not playing nicely (again!) & won't let me upload other images - will try again tomorrow night.

Another Sunday closer

to Christmas. It's struck me this weekend how close Christmas is and how little I've done. We purchased a new "fake" tree yesterday and the girls were keen to put it up straight away but I'm making them wait at least until December!!!

Busy week - so here it is in dot point!
  • In Toowoomba with work - while sick :(
  • Hate being sick during warmer weather :(
  • Surprise birthday dinner for girlfriend Tuesday night (we've been friends for 29 years!!!)
  • Got 'stuck' in the storm on Wednesday afternoon - in the train - lucky Dad came to the rescue!
  • Speech Night for school Wednesday night - still feeling sick :(
  • Struggled @ work on Thursday - stayed home Friday!
  • WW's weigh in positive again - lost another 2kgs - and no - I don't want them back if you find them!!!
  • Physio & peditatrist trying to sort out my feet problems - orthopedic footwear likely :(
  • Made a start on making goodies for school staff as the girls only have three weeks of school left - making present for each teacher + smaller gift for specialist teachers like choir, drama, music etc.
  • Basketball on Saturday
  • Picked up the cake for brother's celebration and promptly let it slip from my hands - lucky it didn't end up falling completely but I was so upset - one side all smashed against the box :( No one seemed to notice today thank goodness.
  • Brother's 40th birthday celebration today with family and our godparents - who we haven't seen all year. Managed to take some pics for Christmas newsletter.
My Dad has reminded me that he checks out my blog occasionally - hi Dad, don't forget to leave a comment next time you drop by - so must remember this in future!!! He commented on some of my answers to the recent 50 questions tag - opps - forgot about that!!!

Can't blog without a pic - so here's one of Danah I took at basketball - just before tip off at the start of the game! She's the tallest on the team so she always does the tip off. We won't mention the score from the game this week :0

That's it - now I'm off for a walk!

I like orange but..

Okay, I'll admit it, I've started having my hair coloured!! All these years, people ask = "Is that your natural colour" and I've always been able to say "Yes". But this year I decided to take the plunge and have a semi-permanent colour (to hide the grey hairs that no one but me can see).

I've had it done a couple of times and no one has ever noticed (and that's a good thing - the way I wanted it) but this time....well...I asked for a slightly lighter shade to get into the summer swing of things....and perhaps I shouldn't have. I should've stuck with the tried and true format of the past two colours. It is a touch "oranger" or brighter than perhaps I wanted!!! It's not toooo bad...but next time I'll go back to the previous shade I think.

I woke up this morning feeling lousy - sore throat and aches and pains....NO! I don't have time to be sick. Off to Toowoomba tomorrow with work...and I've so much to do before I go. Will get a chance to catch up with my good friend Ann and probably my great-aunt which will be lovely. Work is crazy atm - too much to do and not enough time. Home is crazy too - end of year 'stuff' - speech night this week on Wednesday which will be a relatively late night. No use complaining I guess - just get on with it! (Oh and give me the coderal cold and flu tablets - to soldier on!)

My weight loss efforts are going well - lost just over 2kg first week at WW. I've been walking everyday although haven't been today. My great scrappin' friend Zane (who's a WW leader) is giving me lots of advice and support as is the group on LSBS who are all trying to lose weight too. I've just about finished my weight loss counter LO - for adding prima flowers to for each KG I lose - thanks to Narelle on LSBS who sent us all our own bag of prima's for the # of KG's we hope to lose. What a lovely gesture!

Received an email from Jenny U with a link to a blog I hadn't visited before - an Australian scrap critic blog - very interesting reading! Check it out.

Near death experience (well big fright!)

Out for my walk this morning around beautiful Cairns city centre! Humid - yes, hot - yes, but I still walked (for about 40 minutes). I had my earphones on listening to the radio, walking along a street, minding my own business...when....

a palm frond (big & heavy) fell from heaven just in front of me!!! If I'd been walking just a little faster it would've hit me on the noggin!

I said CR@P - loudly- and looked around as if to say .... "where did you come from"??? Of course, the palm tree just stood there not saying anything...and no one heard or saw what happened - just me and my even faster beatin' heart!!

So that's how I started my day! Exercise can be very dangerous....if you walk too fast!

Conference okay today - food lousy - greasy fried stuff + a little bit of salad = no fruit! Came back to my room at lunch time for fruit so I wouldn't be naughty! No wine tonight again!! (No one from work believes I've been two nights without wine while in Cairns!!) Tomorrow night might be a bit different - planning on having one or two glasses.

Did manage to check out the shops this morning for awhile. Bought myself two new CD's (Bernard FAnning & Pete Murray) and some 'cheap' jewellery to wear with my Christmas outfit this year. No scrap shops in the city area :(

Greetings from up North

I'm currently enjoying my last work trip for the year (well except for a night in Toowoomba next week) up in gorgeous Cairns. Flew up this afternoon for three days. Only hiccup is that I'm having to be good....no snacking, not too much wine and healthy choices in the restaurants! The real challenge will be Tuesday night when I go to my favourite Greek restaurant - where we normally have a fantastic banquet! Not this time...fish and salad for me! Oh..and lots of walking - in nice humid Cairns weather!!!

Been reading up about the Sydney Paper Festival this weekend (on forums & blogs) - sounds like those who attended had a fantastic time (except maybe Lisa P who sliced herself quite nastily on her craft knife) Sounds like the LSBS stall was a big hit! Michelle enjoyed classes (& pics) with Elsie and Zina. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it from Helen (here in Cairns) as she's been down to Sydney too.

Scrappin' to share this week - DT work: a LO using 3 Bugs pp and a MM 8 inch chipboard letter.

Get Serious Now!

Well, after all the good work I did during 2005 to lose 18kg - this year I've put it all back on and MORE!!! I have to do something about my weight...so I'm back walking - just 20 minutes a day initially AND I've joined Weight Watchers again. I've had success with them in the past...shame it didn't last but this time WILL be different!

At LSBS there's a group of us trying to support each other in our weight battles - and we set our own goals each week. This week (the first) my goals were to:

  1. Walk at least 20 minutes each day
  2. Join a WW again
  3. Do a LO - based on the LSBS Cheap Ar$e Tuesday challenge (using old supplies) - about my need to lose weight again!

Keeping up with all my goals so far...here's the LO - using very old K & Company PP's and other products at least 12 months old.

Between the LSBS thread and my blog...I'm hoping my motivation will stay high (& you guys can help keep me honest!)

My Post is in the Archives??

(Edit - Monday morning) Let's try again! Right - it seems to be all working again and my post is no longer in the Archives section!!! Hope the gremlins are gone for good!

Okay - not sure what's going on tonight - but my main Sunday night post is already in the archives and NOT showing here??? So if you really want to see what I've been doing you'll have to scroll all the way down the page 'til you reach the Archives and click on October where you'll find a mirror image of my main blog page with today's post!!!

Here's the other LO I couldn't post earlier. Wish me luck with posting this post!

Will Bl*gger Play Nice?

I have lots of pics to upload tonight....so will Blogger do the right thing and let me upload them all?? Let's see.

First a couple of LO's (including the vintage one of my Grandparents engagement that I've been working on for ages and ages!!!)

Had a great day on Saturday - meeting IRL with online friend Steph up from Melbourne on holiday. We did a mini shop hop, visiting 4 shops over 4 1/2 hours or so.

Caught up with other lovelies from LSBS @ South Bank for dinner. Sara (QldScrapper) is looking fantastic @ 12 weeks pregnant! Unfortunately Steph's little man, Bennett wasn't 100% and neither was Zane's partner, Mark. (Zane, you'll notice I didn't put a link to YOUR blog - you know why!!!) We still had a good night. Nice to meet for the first time Sharni, although the traffic didn't help her or Michelle who both had drama's getting to South Bank.

Back row (L to R) : Me, Zane, Michelle, Sara
Front row: Steph (& sleeping Bennett) & Sharni.

Tomorrow I'm dropping into The Craft Attic as Debra closes the doors for the last time @ Carina. Debra's heading overseas soon for a few months and plans on opening a new shop @ a new location early next year.

Next Saturday, the Scrap Club is meeting at the "exotic" location of Mt Tamborine @ lovely Leisa's place. Mind you after receiving her email with instructions on finding her place & the wildlife we might encounter I'm a little nervous about going up there.

Well Blogger hasn't disappointed me....uploaded all but my last LO to share!!! Will try again with the last one in a new post otherwise it'll have to wait 'til another time.

Blogger having more than the last laugh...doing very strange things tonight - won't publish without error message and last post ended up in Archieve file but not on main page??? Let's see what happens now???

Monday, October 23, 2006

Uploads - hopefully!!!

Here's the card and Words of Wisdom Paper Bag album page I couldn't upload last night. The card is a "lift" from Crissy @ Scrappin the SCraps :) I've also done a similar birthday card but can't share incase the birthday girl reads my blog...

Now I'm off to watch Grey's Anatomy!

Sunday, October 22, 2006

It can't be Sunday night already!!

For what was supposed to be a quiet weekend we seemed to be pretty busy the whole time!

Friday night - Peter went out for dinner with the mob he starts with tomorrow week - seemed happy with how it went. The girls & I at home on our own was nice UNTIL the power went out...but we survived and it meant that I had an early night - nothing else to do.

Saturday was all sport...TAra swimming in the morning and Danah playing basketball in the afternoon. In between we went to the shops to get Peter a new mobile and I scored a little blue tooth thingy to stick in my ear so I can answer the phone and NOT break the law!!! Now I just have to remember to put it on each time I hop in the car. Danah's basketball was much more enjoyable this week (after their flogging 100+ to 6 last week - they moved to a lower division) and the girls had a win although it was close most of the game. Good for their confidence after such a horror the previous week!

Today I went to a PartyLite candle party for a Mum from school - I ended up with a mild headache after sniffing all those different perfumes - but it was nice to sit and chat and do nothing for an hour or so. Groceries and the last of the washing and that's my weekend!

I did manage to squeeze in some scrapping. Inspired by Celeste V (new DT member @ LSBS) who's published in this month's SC - using lots of different alphas in a title - I got a bit carried away with the chipboard in this LO about my darling brother - Andrew (who's single & almost 40...if you're looking :) Hope he doesn't read my blog...he'll be mortified I said that!!!)

I also did another lil' LO in a "Words of Wisdom" paper bag album circle I'm in @ the SM forum and a "Get Well" card for another swap on SM forums. (which bl**dy Blogger won't upload ATM)

I did make a start on my first "Christmas" OTP item - but was in the middle of that Friday night when the lights went out and haven't really got back to it yet!

I've also ALmoST finished a hertiage LO I've been working on for MoNtHs and Months!!! Those from the monthly scrap club have seen my pathetic efforts at getting this LO finished. Well I'm almost there - just need some vital information (dates etc) about my Grandparents engagement for the journalling and then I'll be done!

That's it .... I'm done!

Fonts

Having a fun week this week - as I work in the city and usually drive to work (for those interstate who haven't heard - our freeway/expressway has been closed indefinately)!!! Makes for fun commuting let me tell you!

LSBS has set up a free fonts download section if you happen to have a font addiction - check them out!

Latest DT LO - of our gorgeous girl - Danah - using Overton House goodies!

Exhausted ... again....still

Okay - I've been very slack and missed my at least reasonably regular blog session on a Sunday night.

But I did have a good excuse - honest!!! We'd won 2 free tickets to the basketball so we purchased 2 more and all went to see the Bullets get better (just) by the Perth Wildcats last night. It was almost 10pm by the time we got home and got the girls into bed...not a good way to start the school week...a late night!! Hope we don't pay for it the rest of the week.

Pics...I've been promising from our Scrap SHop Hop Crop day a week or so ago... yah...Megan, Julie & Pam! Julie's Mum, Sue - also joined us @ Julie's place to crop - her she is hard at work!

Other scrapping news...check out The Craft Attic - the lovely Debra is closing down her store front and online store for a few months while she trips around the world!!!! She'll be back in the new year but in the meantime she has a sale on...so check it out!

There's also some news brewing at the Little Scrapbook Shop - with a new "addition" being announced on Wednesday night...come along for the party and see what Cath's got in store for us.

For the past few weeks my long-time (almost 30 years!!!) girlfriend, Sandy, has been coming over once a week for some scrapping lessons. She's not so interested in LO's but she's been doing some lovely off-the-page projects including a canvas for her DH's recent 50th birthday. Last week she made a photoframe and notebook - her's her wonderful work. I don't have to do much...just let her loose in what she calls my "shop"!!! (okay - the photoframe pic won't upload :()

Busy with work - at a Senior Women's Forum this week (no, that's not senior in age, but senior in position - although!!!) and also a dinner at school tomorrow night. Peter's finally handed in his resignation and starts at his new job 30/10. He's getting in a bit earlier and is going to the Breaky Creek pub Friday night with the new mob!!! Lucky I don't have a crop to go to!!!

Well - that's it for now....early night for me (so I don't fall asleep at this Senior women's thingy!!)

Another FuLL on WeeKEnd!

I need a day or two to recover from my weekend - well mainly yesterday!

Pam, Megan, Julie and I hit the road on our "annual" (well this is our second year) shop hop and crop day! (Photo's to follow later - blogger not playing nicely AGAIN!)

Last year we visited shops on the North side of Brisbane (the dark side???) - this year we headed further north to the gorgeous Sunshine coast....visiting Daisy Chain Scrapbooking @ Nambour, then My Scrappin' Shop @ Caloundra and then we stopped at Scrappido @ Landsborough. Slight hiccup there as the tour guide (namely me) hadn't checked her Saturday closing time properly...we rocked up at 1.05pm and she'd closed at 1pm :( Didn't slow us down...made an unscheduled stop at the Paper Addict @ Lawnton (back in Brissy).

Saw lots of very yummy goodies...bought some..but did try to restrain myself. Did get some new GinX & Urban Lily which I can't wait to use. Also purchased some CherryArte rubons which are pretty darn good - used them for the title/tags in the Happy Go Lucky LO below.

Stocked up we went to Julie's abode to crop the night away - only stopping for necessary refreshments!! See pic below! Julie lovely parents joined the fun as Sue is a scrapper too!!

I managed to finish a CJ entry (Simple Pleasures) and a LO for a sketch challenge I'd set on LSBS (Happy Go Lucky).

Sunday = and today I've spent some time with Danah & Tara (so Peter could watch Bathurst in peace). We did what any self-respecting group of "ladies" would do...after picking Nana up...we went ShoPPing (@ Carindale). Morning tea...wandered round the shops...dress shopping for Danah...very enjoyable!

Did manage this afternoon (between breaking up fighting daughters and doing the groceries) to complete another LO for my DT @ LSBS - which is a pic from a crop @ Scrapbook City in July. Hey Leish ... hope you don't mind .... but love this pic of you and Zane!
Getting good mileage out of my 3 Bugs in a Rug stash!!!

The girls are back to school tomorrow and I think Peter's putting in his notice @ his job...ready to take on a new challenge with a different company in a similar role. Mum & Dad are off with their van...to Bundy....for a month. And me...well....it's Monday so I guess I'll be back at work.

I've had dinner cooked for me

Danah cooked dinner for us tonight - spaghetti bol.. and chocolate pudding! It's great to see her interested in cooking (not so interested in the cleaning up afterwards mind you!!) and it was pretty tasty too! Damn...forgot to take photo's! I'm really off my game lately when it comes to my camera!

I've been in a scrappin' frenzy this weekend. Did a couple of DT LO's + another moneybox for one of Tara's friend's birthday + another LO for a challenge I set on LSBS (the cats one). Very pleased with myself.

We also managed to watch a couple of movies (kid friendly of course) - including "Eight Below" (Antarctic, dog movie) and "Yours, Mine & Ours (old lovers re-unite after partners die + their 18 children).

And I also did a bike ride both days!!! (I've done my back in again while I was at it - you gotta love pain killing drugs don't you??)

That's my weekend!

DT LO

Latest DT LO for LSBS using Over The Moon products. Pic is of my gorgeous big girl, Danah, when she was about 18 months old - helping Peter in the garden.

Big congratulations to Sara (qldscrapper) & Nathan - who are expecting their first bub! Take care of yourself Sara and enjoy this amazing, special time (even though you might be feeling a bit ordinary at the moment - that WILL change!) Oh and don't forget to take lots of pics - starting from now!!

Here's my altered 4 litre paint tin - for Mum's birthday next week - busy filling it with goodies ATM.

What's all the fuss about?

I finally relented today and bought a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts @ Sydney airport on my way home. The girls were so excited when I got home with them but I think we were all a bit disappointed with them. I can't see how they are all that different to the Donut King goodies??!!! Anway - we can say we've tried them now!

I've had the best two days in Sydney! Started with the free red wine on the plane going down (seat mix up that I helped them out with). Got into the hotel (Four Seasons) about 8pm - king room with harbour views - not only did I have harbour views - but views straight out onto the Opera House and the Bridge!! Decided to celebrate with a cold white wine and room service - which was wheeled into me on a table (not a tray) - crisp white linen, gorgeous crockery and cutlery and the food wasn't bad either!!! Hopped into my massive king bed - white crisp white sheets and fluffy soft doona and feather pillows to watch the end of Idol and all of Robbie!!! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!!!

I had a divine bubble bath - with classical music piped into the bathroom. The toiletaries they provided were divine too (bought the soap home with me!!)

The service, food and staff were all excellent - I never wanted to leave!!! The conference wasn't bad either - great dinner last night - more great food and wine! + a small gift each - a boxed bottle of wine! Did some general "networking" with a range of different people including a Salvo Army officer who I sat with last night @ dinner - he was a gas (although only drinking lemonade!!)

If I hadn't forced myself to go for a quick walk across the road to Circular Quay this morning - I wouldn't have left the hotel from Sunday night until this afternoon when we flew home again. I could definately get used to 5+ star service ALL the TiME!!!

Bad scrappin' mistake though - FoRGot my CAMERA!!! One lady said she went out and bought a disposable - her view was too good not to capture it on film!!!

Back to reality now.... just put a load of washing on...house is a mess..... dishwasher is sort-of packed ... and I need to get myself ready for tomorrow when I go on an Excursion to Chinatown with 80+ Year 6 (11 year olds) students with DD Danah (better pack some paracetamol!!)
