Congratulations Sweetie

Youngest DD, Tara (almost 10), made her first communion today at Church. Here she is with my folks - Dad was so proud of her (as we all were!) - and the Bible they gave her.

We gave her a necklace.

It was such a special & moving service today not only because of the first Communion component but we also joined the rest of Australia in remembering February 7 - the Victorian bush fires! Nicholas read a poem - which I am trying to get hold of so I can share - very moving!

Hard to make sense of it all but without faith what do we have?

It's been ten days...

since my last post - how slack!!!

This is all the scrap work I've done since my last post....sorry - makes for a image heavy & long post!

First off some cards....

This one is for the Stamp Shak CC this past week....a circle card (thanks for that challenge LEXIE!!!)

And for my GF - Cath - after her Mum recently passed away :(

Eldest DD's friend Emmie turned 14 this weekend - here's her card

And DD decorated a KaiserCraft photo frame (including dreamy photo of "edward & bella") for Emmie...

Challenge #7 at LSBS 52 Pick Up was to cover a journal for keeping all the 52 Pick Up challenges in...here's mine (we had to use 'old' pp)

I have been good in keeping my 52 Photos Blog up to date - and here's my photo's in the weekly journal of them

Now for some LO's...

Scrap Chat has a monthly colour challenge - violet & yellow was February's challenge

And the One Little Word at Scrap Chat this week was "flower" so here's my LO for that...

The challenges at the Stamp Shak CC this weekend included a colour challenge - blue & silver (not a combo I'd use often) but managed to do it

The other challenge was to use Stamping, Circles, Raised, Animal, Paint (SCRAP) on a LO...been itching to use this cute Crate Paper PP & die cuts.

The Scrap Chat OLW last weekend was "Heart"....so I did a LO using the ultrasound photos of our DD's....(and the yummy BG Bittersweet PPs)

The next few LO's are from last weekends LSBS CC....

Yes, another 'Twilight' LO :)

And finally....my Challenge #6 for LSBS 52 Pick Up - using journaling strips (and a very old photograph from my childhood!)

Damn you work...

Why does work have to get in the way of scrappin??!!!

Have still managed to do a few things over the last week - including visiting a new scrap shop! If you live in the Brissy area you must check it out - Flourish Arte Studio in Carina!

Speaking of Brissy girls ... I'm hoping to have another CROP for Girl Guides in the next few months - keep an eye out for a date to be set soon! (searching for a date that won't clash with too many other events)

For Scrap Chat's OLW - Forever - I did a LO about DD & my love of all things Twilight (yes, sad I know!!!) There are quite a few "forever" quotes in Twilight so I used one of them for the challenge.

I also managed to do three challenges for the Scrap Therapy OSCARS CC ...

The 52 Pick Up challenge at LSBS was to make a card & envelope with heart/s and gold with love theme...

I need to make a baby boy congrats card for a Guide friend so did the Stamp Shak monthly card challenge (based on a Page Maps sketch)

And my inchie for Stamp Shak --- the word this week was CHARM...

Yep - I've been tagged by a few people (thanks Josie & Kerryn) and have been a bit slack in doing anything about it.

But here it is - my 6th photo from my 6th folder in my "photo's" files! Given how many dodgy pics I take - it could have been worse! Don't ask me WHY I would be taking photos on the freeway (Australia Day weekend - heading to the beach) - at least I wasn't driving (this time!!!).

Back in the swing of things...

Well, school is back and I'm back at work. Holidays??? What holiday!!?? Only 2 months and 1 day until our Kirra Beach hol ;)


Had a fabulous Saturday cropping at Scrapbook Princess with Shann & Kerryn - with a lovely visit from Lexie too! It was a 9am - 9am crop (24 hours) but I left at about 1.30am as I had church Sunday morning!
