Busy Scrap Days

Final scrappin' fling before the girls go back to school and I go back to work (after a delayed return due to illness).

I've enjoyed doing a few challenges from a new site (Scrappin' 2 Perfection) that scrappin friend Megan is on the DT at...plus the weekly challenge at Scrap Chat.

This one involved using "ugly pattern paper" ~~~ what was I thinking when I purchased this paisley print???

Week 4 - Scrapchat "childhood memories" ... from my time at Bamaga in the mid-1970's!

Getting ready for a busy Australia Day as the Cleveland Girl Guides provide a cold drinks stall at the local (Cleveland) Family Fun Day Concert! Should be fun and hopefully we'll make a few $$ for the Guides at the same time!

Being Sick on holidays is no fun!

Had a yukky last week - came home after only an hour or so into our annual Chermside shopping expedition - feeling very sick! Ended up in bed from Monday until Thursday and still not feeling 100%. Kidney infection + horrid antibotics were no fun for the end of my holidays!

Scrap catch up ... (from before I was ill)

A couple of items from my Guest DT spot at Scrap N Craft with T ...

A birdie card...

And thank you card - http://tanyahpayne.blogspot.com/2010/01/step-by-step-thanks-card-from-amanda.html

Plus a LO ...
A layout using the top of a calendar from last year (that I lost in my stash) for a Scrap Chat sketch challenge
And the card sketch for Scrap Chat...

I'm also continuing with my journal for the weekly challenges at Scrap Chat. Week 3 was "the best part of my day" - which I made into a multi-choice question using very old slide mounts + an A5 page protection - cut in half and sewn back together.

Week 2 was about your "soothing" place --- and mine has always been water (usually the shower) but the beach/ocean/sea works well too. Had a fun play with the texture paste and paint for this one!

Making the transition back to work this week and getting ready for the start of another school year! Much excitement here as Danah starts at her new school and Tara starts Year 6 at Ormiston. I'm sure there will be photos to share soon on this event!

I'm so lovin' my holidays!

Sleep ins - reading - crafting - lazy days! Love it! Even the weather hasn't worried us!

I've completed the last colour challenge at Scrap Chat - purple & blue...

And after completing all 52 challenges at LSBS last year - I'm taking on another 52 type challenge at Scrap Chat ... here's my first effort based on "losing something"

I'm using an A5 folder to put these challenges in - along the lines of Ali Edwards December Daily Albums - hopefully it will work out!

Here we are ... 2010!!

Christmas has come and gone (we spend so much time & effort preparing for it and it's over in a flash!!!) and now so has the New Year!

I hope you and your family enjoyed the festive season and all its trimmings and had a safe and happy New Year!

We had a quiet one - both Christmas and New Year - but that's okay - that's the way I like it!!

I've had time to scrap while I've been on holidays --- the layout above and below are both from OLW at Scrap Chat --- I'm pleased to say I did the majority of these challenges throughout the year. I did miss a few words/weeks but you get that!

I have finished off the last of the challenges for Little Scrapbook Shop's 52 Pick Up - I completed ALL 52 challenges! The following layouts are my final challenges for the year!

Looking forward to some new challenges this year scrappin' wise ...
Starting the year with a guest design team gig at Scrap 'n' Craft with T - looking forward to sharing some layouts and cards with Tanyah and the girls there.
