Kraft It Up Challenge

My first Kraft It Up challenge!
A Christmas layout in non-traditional colours (black and pink/magenta - bad colour in photo :( ) + knots (on my silver elastic).
These photos are from last Christmas - poor Danah (14 at the time) was mortified that Pop wanted to try his new g-string on for us all to see!!!  Gotta love a good Christmas laugh!

Note Lexie --- I'm posting in my blog AGAIN!!!

I'm Scrapping!

Well Christmas has come and gone --- hope you had a good one! We had a lovely relaxing time here at home, joined by my folks, brother, Peter's Mum and her friend.

The wet weather hasn't bothered us too much - thank goodness we're not camping (like some of my friends). We certainly aren't as wet here as some other areas in Qld - please keep safe those struggling with the floods!

The sewing machine has been having a rest and I've been scrapping again! Yay!!! Even managed to do a "Stuck Sketches" challenge - the first time in a very very long time - and their last for 2010! Here's my take on the sketch!

I've used a Christmas photo from LAST year. I also used a clear vinyl background (KI Memories, Sheer Delights) that I purchased a few years ago .... seemed like a good idea until I had to photograph the layout!!! Ended up with black cardstock behind it so it would 'come up' okay!

Working on the Kraft It Up challenge now too! Will share when I've finished it!

Also finishing off my last few weeks of Scrap Chat chlallenges - but will pop them in another post shortly!

Too Busy Sewing

Okay so this time I've got an excuse for not blogging (don't I always??!!) - I've been busy sewing for Made.X.Manda!

I've taken the plunge and signed up for my very first market stall at the Handmade Expo Markets on 18 December 2010 at the Ipswich Turf Club from 8am - 2pm.

In between sewing I've done a little bit of scrappin....

Dodgy images as I'm without a scanner (since I upgraded my laptop to a Windows 7 system that doesn't recognise my poor ol' scanner :( ) ... but at least I now have a new version of Photoshop Elements to play with (version 9!!).
Hope to see you at the markets on the 18th!!!

Me again...

As promised in my last post - here's some of the fun I've been having with the weekly challenges over at Little Scrapbook Shop in their Seasoned Scrapper Challenges!

See I have had a good reason for not blogging!!!

Surprise!!

No point in making excuses ... can't believe it's been FOUR months since my last post (was almost tempted to write "confession" then and I"m not even catholic!!!).

So I'm not going to attempt to upload all the 'stuff' I've been doing over the past four months but will upload some of the fun I've had doing TWO weekly challenges - one at Scrap Chat (my home away from home) and long-term friends at Little Scrapbook Shop. I try and keep up to date with both of these because I know if I don't I won't get around to it! For both of these I've been doing 'odd' sized entries - most around A5 - some 12x12 for Little Scrapbook Shop!

So guess I should warn ... long post ahead ... to see me through the next FOUR months!!!

First off - the Scrap Chat challenges over the past few weeks ...

Next post will have some of the Seasoned Scrapper LO"s for Little Scrapbook Shop.

I'm Back...

Finally sorted out my password/access issues with Blogger!!! Well that's my excuse for not posting in forever!!!

Children on holidays - hubby too - I'm the only working this week!

Too much has happened since I last posted ... so won't even attempt to update!

Will share my A5 layout for this week's LSBS Seasoned Scrapper entry and leave it at that!

Where did March go?

What a joke!!! I missed blogging all through March and here we are in April! Doubt anyone is still following/checking (thanks for dropping by Kerryn - you've prompted me to post again!) but thought I'd better come by and share some scrappin' at least!

I'm doing two weekly challenges this year - at Little Scrapbook Shop and ScrapChat.

Here's the last few weeks of challenges for the "Summer" season at LSBS...these have included card challenges, layouts and some I've completed for my A5 folder.

The challenges at Scrap Chat have been fabulous for trying a whole range of different ideas and each week I've used some of my old stash (there's plenty of it!!!). Doing these in an A5 folder too! Great size - nice and quick - although think I'll need more than one folder as we're up to week 14 and folder 1 is almost full!

And then there's the traditional 12 x 12 LO's...for challenges at Scrap Chat and Scrapping 2 Perfection

Well that's it for another month!!!
Working on some new "male" camera straps for Made.X.Manda - if you have any male photographers out there looking for a stylish comfy strap! Check them out soon!

A Whole Month to catch up on...

Once again I've neglected my poor blog ... a whole month worth of neglect!

So here's a snap shot of what I've been scrappin' during February!

Two year-long challenges I'm participating in this year are the Scrap Chat weekly challenge and the Little Scrapbook Shop Seasoned Scrapper challenges... some of them here along with some CC challenges from Scrappin' to Perfection.

For the LSBS Seasoned Scrapper I'm using an A5 binder for all my challenge entries - so I'm scrappin in that size and really enjoying it!

Using the same size binder (A5) for the Scrap Chat weekly challenges too! Having fun using lots of different media for these challenges AND something OLD each week!

Made the "chocolate" for this one using texture paste and paint!

I've also been taking a self portrait pic each day of February but won't bore you with all 27 of them ... just yet!!!
