Fabric Heaven

I'm lovin all my new fabrics --- now I just need some time to SEW (as well as still doing my therapy scrappin!!!)!

Here's a collection I purchased over the last few days!

Plus --- here's my first coin purse (using Melly & Me's "Latta" pattern) --- using some of the lovely left over fabric from an earlier "Sherbet" bag. It's only 14cm x 9cm and fully lined but a real little cutie (I think!)

Survived the Garage Sale....just!

Another huge weekend at our place!

The Girl Guide Garage Sale was on Saturday morning which saw the four of us up & out of bed and down to the Guide hut by 4am!!!!

The weather was perfect (luckily as the large marque we borrowed was missing posts and was of no use to us at all!!!) - the customers pleniful and relatively generous - the helpers (while not as many as we'd have liked) were fabulous. We were packed up and home by 1pm - just before a big storm hit! We didn't sell everything but donated the 'left-overs' to a charity shop and Blue Care nurses + Rotary got our books. The Treasurer rang today with an early figure on funds raised and it looks like we'll clear over $1200!!! We made $700 last year so this is a great result!

Even though I was exhausted Saturday afternoon I still managed to scrap :D
Here's my Week 8 LO for the Scrap Chat Project Scrap Away...

Also made a friendship card for a Little Scrapbook Shop weekend challenge...

And the monthly Scrap Chat sketch challenge (double) and the digi challenge...

I've had today off work to tidy up a few garage sale things + do some "me" things (like checking out a new fabric shop on the north side!!!).
Will share my great fabric purchases + my first coin purse in my next post!

Another Bag

Here's the handbag I made for Mum for her birthday. I purchased this fabric ages ago with her in mind and have finally sewn the bag for her. I used the "Black Forest" Melly & Me pattern - which I've only used once before (with my very first bag). She loved it!

I recently got some more bag patterns (Melly & Me "Candy" & "Latte" - from A Passion for Craft - thanks Lynnie!) and another one via eBay. Looking forward to trying them soon too!

I'm also excited that we have a new shop front fabric shop in Brissy. I have a problem ordering fabric online - like to see and touch and match them IRL. Funky Fabrix has an online shop but are now also open on the northside of Brissy! Might have to take a journey over that way real soon!
Back later in the day for a scrap update!

Full On Few Weeks

We had a great weekend in Sydney recently for a cousin catch up - the second gen couisins had fun too!

You're welcome to check out some of our pics ---at the above link.

I've already managed to scrap some pics of my two DD's on the habour Sunday afternoon when we caught up with my long-time friend Vikki, her partner Chris and their puppy, Oscar! What a perfect afternoon - after being at the zoo all morning. This was my Week 7 LO for the Scrap Chat Project Scrap away.

Speaking of Vikki --- here she is --- a few years ago now as my bridesmaid. This is my Week 6 LO for Project Scrap Away.

Here's my October LO for the Stamp Shak - using pics from my recent work trip up to the Bunya Mountains.

Thank you card for my cousin who organised our recent weekend.

Finally a birthday card from my Mum (and Stamp Shak's monthly challenge). Mum & Dad have arrived home safely after their visit to the UK - so nice to have them home again! Will share pics of Mum's birthday present next post!

Flat out this week with a major work function for three days (including two night functions) and then the Girl Guide Garage sale on Saturday!

Come check out the Garage Sale if you're near Cleveland on Saturday 25th - 7am til noon! Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we'll make a few $$$. Island Street, Cleveland.

Goodness Me...

I missed my weekly blog - how naughty!!!

My five days off with the girls was busy and went way too quickly!!!

Managed to do a few routinue jobs like throwing out (or collecting for charity) clothes too small + hair cuts etc and saw a few movies. Enjoyed "Horton Hears a Who" and "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" 2008 3D version - endured "Beverley Hills Chihuaha" - which was youngest DD's choice!

Had a fabulous time at Gypsy's "Girls Night In" crop -raising funds for womens cancer. Thanks to the amazing Lexie + lots of others - the night raised over $1100 with more to come!

Scrapping wise --- here's my latest...including Week 5 entry for Project Scrap Away at Scrap Chat and three LO's for the Scrap Therapy CC (my first). Loved the "music" challenges at Scrap Therapy!

Off to Sydney this weekend to catch up with family....should come home with lots of pics (and very tired!!!).
