The newspaper clipping in my 1964 LO (above) was done using this fun site... http://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp

Also finished a DOUBLE LO (I don't usually DO doubles!!) for the monthly competition at the Stamp Shak...

I've also made a sympathy card for a friend at work....this is based on a cardlift from the very talented Sandie at LSBS - http://www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=7488

Can I just add I'm LOVIN' Blogger's new capacity to upload multiple pics at one time!!! Great move Blogger!!

Birthday Wishes...

It was Megan's birthday last Monday....hope you had a great day. Posted her a little tin full of ribbon and fun "owl" card....

Saturday was my youngest DD's 9th birthday! Happy Birthday sweetie! We celebrated with presents (of course!), the movies with a friend, cake and then topped off the day with her requested home-made pizza for dinner! I also made her an 'owl' birthday card!

Made a couple of hybrid Easter cards....using Suzanne Blair's Too Cute Girl mini kit...

Another challenge was set this weekend at SCrapChat....to complete a mini album. Finally got a round to using photos from our day at Australia Zoo almost a year ago! Thanks for a great challenge Gyps!

I've also completed all four challenges at the Stamp Shak CC ...

and two for the All Craftz CC and...

LSBS also had a couple of challenges up for Easter so did the card and LO (need to scan yet).

This week I've also completed my March Gratitude journal entry on "What I love about me"...

Had a bit of fun with the Mission Impossible challenge at Scrap Chat. Miss C's challenge to use a album cover as inspiration tempted me to try my hand at reproducing (digitally) Queen's "Hot Space" cover.

Finally - also completed the monthly digi challenge at SCrap Chat using Suzanne Blair's kit and word art from elegantwordart2.blogspot.com.

Weekend Work

Managed to get a few scrappin' goodies completed this weekend...including a set of 3 cards for Scrap Chat's month long CC...the lovely Chelle set the first challenge.

Detail...

The Sunday powerscrap was to make a single layer exploding box...I made three small ones with no lids for Easter. Shame I don't have any eggs to pop in them yet!

Also did another LO - based very loosely on a Becky Fleck Page Map....just for fun of youngest DD (soon to be 9) at Wet 'n' Wild before Christmas.

Camera Challenge

I took my camera to work with me today!

Well I had a meeting in Toowoomba and my plan was to snap some pics of "wood" along the way (for the Gallery 12 challenge at ScrapChat). I had a ball! ACtually helped to keep me alert as I was driving - looking out for all the possibilities! I even stopped at the Wellington Point jetty on the way home (round about way of getting home)!

Here's my wood photos!

Margaret Street, Toowoomba

Road side, Gatton

WEllington Point Jetty

Lucky it was low tide!!

The previous weeks challenge word for a photograph was "love". I wanted something different and had this idea....was nearly going to stage it (with my folks or DH & I)....but then today....as I was driving out of a shopping centre carpark I saw this.....

Don't know who they are....but this is "love" to me...still wanting and willing to hold hands and protect/support each other at a more senior age!

Lucky no one was driving behind me....goodness knows what I looked like....pulling up, getting the window down and grabbing my camera to snap this shot!

Check it out...

As a scrapper I often see things that make me think....how can I use that in a LO etc? Do you do that too!

Once sitting on the train - I spotted a lady's handbag and liked the design of it (still haven't used it ...but I will ONE day!).

Today - my date block had this great quote...and it conjured up thoughts and emotions about different places I've been/lived and how we all change over time! Thought I'd share...

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered." Nelson Mandela

Now to find the perfect photo to use it with!

Ok...enough D&M for now...

Don't forget to check out the month-long Cyber Crop at Scrap Chat....first challenge and game is going up this Friday....it might be a small forum BUT everyone is very friendly and we'd love some more people to play with!

Now just cos' I'm not blogging every day...doesn't mean you still can't visit (AND Comment) regularly!
