Sneak Peak

I mentioned in my last post about the upcoming Trash N Treasure day at the Scrap Chat auction site....http://scrapchat.net.au/auction/index.php. It's coming up on 13/14 June. I thought I'd share a little sneak peak of some fabric covered notebooks I've been working on for the market.

Most are A6 size although I do have a couple of A5's as well.

I'm hoping they will be well received!

I also mentioned in my last post that I'd share some scrappin' but haven't quite managed to get that far just yet!!

Where has the time gone?

Can't believe it's almost two weeks since my last post!!!! Life has been busy!

I won't do a scrap update this post ... I'll leave that for tomorrow night.

Four days AFTER my last blog post our eldest daughter received an acceptance letter in the mail to attend the Queensland Academy of Creative Industries (QACI) from 2010!!!! She was so excited (with lots of screaming/jumping up & down/tears/and more screaming) and we are thrilled for her!

I've also (since my last post):

# had four days in Perth/Fremantle for work,
# had a weekend of amazing fun at Warana scrapping with 13 gorgeous ladies
# survived a week of work
# been making some goodies for the next Scrap Chat Trash & Treasure Day (13/14 June 2009)
Check it out http://scrapchat.net.au/auction/index.php
# been fighting off a sinus infection & dealing with 1/2 sick children!

Need to update my Weekly photo blog too....so off to sort through my recent photos! Will be back tomorrow night with lots of scrapping!

Proud as punch!

What a funny saying..."proud as punch"!! Anyway --- so proud of my eldest DD (13) who attended her interview yesterday as part of the application process for the Creative Industries Academy here in Brissy (for her Year 10 - 12 years). We had to race from her hockey game into the city (via my office shower) and she came our buzzing with how well it went! Now to wait a week or so to find out if they'll offer her a place! They'd be crazy not to!!!

I hope all the Mum's out there had a lovely Mother's Day. I did! Yummy cooked breakfast (not in bed as I'm not a 'breaky in bed' kinda gal)...lots of lovely presents...lazying around watching my new TWILIGHT DVD together and then 'high tea' lunch with my Mum & Dad. Here's my girls, Mum & I together at Noop (coffee shop @ Gumdale).

Scrappin wise I am supposed to have been getting ready for WARANA next weekend over this weekend (as I'm off to Perth in the morning until Thursday) but haven't got very far. I'll be frantic getting stuff together when I get home Thursday and then Friday morning before I head up the coast! Of course - looking forward to another fabulous weekend of scrapping and catching up with the lovely Scrap Chat ladies.

Managed to do the OLW LO for the weekend with the word - Click - featuring Chelle's cute little man - Zac.

Also - an OLW LO from a few weeks ago -

And my monthly "She" LO using a great quote put up each month by Gypsy at Scrap Chat

Plus I've made a few cards...

And the last two Stamp Shak inchies for 'vintage' and 'boy'

Have a great week everyone - I'm looking forward to heading west for a few days!

Happy Birthday Peter

It's DH's birthday today and we celebrated with a public holiday (here in Qld anyway!)....Labour Day! He seemed pretty happy with his new cordless mouse and laptop cooling pad + iTunes card and a bottle of bundy! We had a scrummy lunch at Mum & Dad's with delicious homemade curries (Dad's a champ in the kitchen) + a lovely lime & coconut birthday cake!

Saturday & Sunday were written off this weekend with us coordinating the Girl Guides sausage sizzle at Bunnings all weekend! As a fund raiser its been quite profitable (approx. $1600 over two days) but it's sure a lot of work!!!

All this activity has meant my scrappin' has been neglected :( I've got two Stamp Shak inchies to do...I'm behind on my weekly LSBS 52 pick up challenge (mini album in a box...started at least) and it's the first weekend I haven't done the OLW challenge at Scrap Chat!!!! Did make a card for Peter....

Think I've missed uploading a few LO's but will check back and update next time!

I'm currently frantically trying to get organised for WARANA....our fabulous weekend of scrapbooking with the gorgeous ladies from Scrap Chat. This has become a regular weekend every November and May although it maybe our last WARANA retreat as Gypsy has found a bigger house down the south coast for us to try out in November!

As I'm away (in Perth) the week before Warana I NEED to be super organised (LOL!! What a joke) so I'm right to go away when I get home from Perth. Wish me luck!
