Nice Surprise

Yes, I know I've been a slack blogger! But I have been busy - honest!

Last weekend I got to spend Saturday in Melbourne (I'd flown down on Friday arvo for a work "do") so made the most of it by finding an awesome fabric shop and spending up on handbag material! Also had lunch with Ness - which was lovely AND managed to find this nifty haberdashiery shop....lace YUM!

It was Ness who told me my "Stocktake" LO was in the current edition of Scrapbooking Memories!! What a nice surprise! Full page too - which I'm pretty chuffed about! While it has the "newbie" sticker on it...I was actually a "newbie" two issues ago...but not to worry!

Sunday was my birthday and it was a lovely day - relaxing morning and then "Get Smart" and Hogs Breath in the PM. Family, film and food....pretty good in my books!

Been busy this week organising fundraising 'stuff' for the local Guides. Have a great raffle associated with our upcoming crop if anyone (unable to attend) would like a ticket...let me know! Kaisercraft have come to the party by donating a great product pack as our main raffle prize! Plus there'll be other awesome scrap goodies as 2nd, 3rd...etc prizes!

My OTHER big fundraiser at the moment is for cancer research through the Prince of Wales hospital and their DRY JULY campaign. Yes, I'm giving up alcohol for the whole month of JULY!! If you'd like to sponsor me (or see how I'm going) check it out - here http://www.dryjuly.org/djlist.aspx?s=amanda+Moran OR take up the challenge yourself (if it's not too late!!)

Haven't been doing much scrappin' unfortunately although did manage a couple of goodies for the Stamp Shak CC last weekend (the LO & first card) and then another card for a friend from work heading off on maternity leave this week.
